Chopin's room

Warsaw. Chopin in his letter to Tytus Woyciechowski: "I was lazing about until the moment in which friendship became more important than the addiction. Because I wanted you to have this letter at home on the 1st and 4th of January, even though I was sleepy, I took the pen in my hand. (...) Rondo à la Krakowiak is completed in partition. Introduction is unique, it is more than me whole in perfect frock-coat. But the Trio is not finished yet. Upstairs there is already the room for my comfort, from a small walk-in-closed there are stairs to my room. I will have there the old piano, old desk, I will have there a corner to hide in." And further: "I haven’t written anything to people nor to God for a week. I am running to and fro and today I am at Wincengerodowa at a soiree, from where I go to another one to Ms. Kicka. You know it is comfortable, where you are sleepy and they ask you to improvise. Satisfy everybody! Rarely have I thoughts similar to those I had often in the morning under my fingers on Your pantalion! Wherever I look, there are poor Leszczyński’s instruments, I haven’t seen even one similar in its sound to your sister’s pantalion or to ours!"
