In the 49th edition of the Leipzig’s newspaper "Allgemeine Musikalische Zeitung" the famous review by Robert Schumann concerning the Variation in B-flat major Op. 2 on the theme from Don Juan, titled "Ein Opus II" is publised, with the sentence "Hut ab, ihr Herren! ein Genie".
