Name day
Fryderyk Chopin’s name day. Bohdan Zaleski’s wishes: "I do not want to interrupt your lessons, but I would like to send you the kindest wishes on your name day. Let God happen that next wishes are sent in Poland free and independent. Things in Krakow are very well."

Justyna Chopin writes a letter to her son
Fryderyk Chopin’s name day. Justyna Chopin writes a letter to her son: "Dear Fryderyk. You have made a real carnival ball here because you have written to us, several words from you are much better than all the news we receive about you, especially that such a strong flu was there, you can imagine how uneasy we are. "Kurier" informed us that you are delivering a concert, and next, you depart immediately, we are wondering where: some told us that to Holland, others that to Germany, yet others say that it’s Petersburg, and those who wish us to see you say that maybe you come to us. […] Today it’s your name day; I am sending my best wishes: let God bless you in this and future life. Loving Mother"

Fryderyk Chopin about George Sand
Paris. Fryderyk Chopin writes a letter to Solange Clésinger: "Your Mother has been here for several days […] She lives at Maurycy’s place, at No. 8 Condé Street, close to Luxembourg. She eats at Pinson (a restaurant where we were with Delatouch); she accepts guests there, she asked Combes to come to that place and she announced her departure to Nohant soon. […] Her health seems good. I think she is happy, that the republican ideas are triumphant, and the news I have communicated to her yesterday [that she has become a grandmother], has made her even happier."
