Nohant. Chopin sends to Auguste Franchomme, by the intermediary of Eugène Delacroix, three manuscripts (Barcarolle Op. 60, Polonaise-Fantaisie Op. 61 and Nocturnes Op. 62) for the edition in Paris and in Leipzig. He takes the opportunity to write about Delacroix: "It is an artist worthy of the highest admiration, I have spent charming moments with him. He loves Mozart and he knows all his operas by heart."

This day medical consilium took place with the participation of the following physicians: Jean Cruveiller, Pierre Charles Louis and J. G. Blache. Several months later, at the end of October, Wojciech Grzymała will write a letter to August Léo: "Physicians: Roth, Simon, Olendorf, Fraenkel from Warsaw, Louis, Blache, Cruveiller and many others did their best. However, the disease was too advanced and the ill was too weak to save him."
