Moscow and concerto in E
Paris. Fryderyk Chopin participates in great charity concert organized by the priest de la Moscova (Josepha Napoleona Neya) in the concert hall of the Paris Conservatory. He performs the first part of the Concerto in E minor with orchestra. However, the concert was not well received. The newspaper "Revue Musicale" published critical review of the concert by François-Joseph Fétis, who decided that the instrumentation was characterized by "lack of lightness" and the performing artist by "little tone".
Joseph Napoleon Ney Moskova (1803-1857) – talented composer, musician and founder (in 1843) of the Société de musique vocale religieuse et classique set up in Paris to perform ancient choir music. He himself conducted the concerts organized in his palace. He composed among others two operas and a mass.  More information: Concerto in E minor Op. 11 - Internet Chopin Information Centre (NIFC)
