Ludwika Cichowska and summary about George Sand
Fryderyk Chopin wrote in the notebook of the pianist Ludwika Cichowska: "Wherever in the Word you are, Always remember your great friend." (pl. "W jakimkolwiek się znajdziesz miejscu świata tego Zawsze wspomnij wielkiego przyjaciela twego.")

Chopin in a letter to his sister
Chopin writes to his sister, Ludwika Jędrzejewiczowa mentioning George Sand: "She didn’t write to me a single word more, I didn’t either. […] She is playing comedies in the country in her daughter’s nuptial room, she forgets herself, frenzies, as much as she can, and she won’t wake up until she feels bad ache in her heart, overwhelmed with the head now. I have done my part. May God love her if she cannot tell real attachment from flattery. […] Eight years of some order was too much. Thank God these were the years when the children were growing, and if it had not been for me, I don’t know for how long they would already be with their father, not her. And Maurycy will run away to his father at the first possibility. But perhaps these are also the conditions of her life, her writing talent, her happiness? Be not bothered by that, it is long past now. Time is a great doctor. I’m still ill at ease. That’s why I don’t write to you, every time I start, I burn the letter."
