A letter from the mother and wishes
Second half of February, 1848. Justyna Chopin writes a letter to her son: "Dear Fryderyk, what can I tell you on the day of your birthday? Always the same, that I ask the Divine Providence to keep vigil over you and every day I implore for the blessing for your soul and body for you, because without it, everything turns into nothing. Thanks to the Highest’s mercy I am healthy, only eccentricities related to old age make me uneasy sometimes: I see everything in a light different to young people, but what can I do?! […] I was calm, even though I received from you only three letters last year. Correct you behavior, dear child, write more often, please, pay attention to my age and our attachment to you, because, even though, I do not doubt in your good heart for me, you have things to do and your time passes faster, and have nothing to do and I live only with news from you. I bid good bye and I kiss you, my dearest, let God give you health and every prosperity, I wish you from all my heart, your Mother."
